In this day-and-age I feel an overwhelming desire to set the record straight concerning my own, personal convictions.

I politically identify as a social democrat. 

 I believe in the congress of ideas and the compromises we all must make, in a diverse society, in order to form a more perfect union.

I DESPISE OVERT WEALTH ACCUMULATION FOR ITS OWN OR ANY OTHER SAKE.

I believe in the common good.

My taxes are freely given, as long as they promote the general welfare.

I believe the wealth of our country must be shared, not hoarded.

I believe all attempts to ascribe a moral order, based on an idea of the mind of any-and-all deities to be acrimonious and ill held.

I have unceasing consternation concerning the lack of meaning that seems to-be-the-case of our existence. This is a recalcitrant predisposition, and should never be misunderstood as a hold-out for a reality that is hidden.

I believe history occurs in cycles and that the current, western cycle may be coming to a close. 

I believe that is totally OK.

My jesters are meant to be seen with compassion, but never let the idea that I have compassion be misunderstood as a desire for nostalgic permanence.
